Watch Netflix together, each on your own account
Open the same movie or episode on Netflix, join the same Futari room, and play, pause and seeking stay in sync between your screens.
How to start
- One of you creates a room in Futari and sends the code.
- The other joins with the code.
- Open the title on Netflix: it starts at the same moment for both of you.
What Futari follows on Netflix
Futari reads the episode from the Netflix page and moves through the movie with the Netflix player itself, so seeking does not break playback. When one of you goes to the next episode, the other follows.
In tests between two accounts, the position stayed within a tenth of a second after pauses, restarts and skips.
What each of you needs
A Netflix account each, on a computer with Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera or Firefox. Futari does not share your account or your screen: each one streams their own Netflix.
Questions
Can we watch Netflix together from two countries?
Yes, as long as the title is in the Netflix catalogue of each of you.
Does Futari see my Netflix account?
No. It reads the episode and the position of the video, nothing else, and sends nothing outside a room.
Does it work in full screen?
Yes. Notices and chat messages show on the video, even in full screen.
