Watch Prime Video together
Amazon ended its own Watch Party feature in 2024. With Futari, each of you opens the same title on Prime Video and play, pause and seeking stay in sync.
How to start
- Create a room in Futari and send the code.
- Your friend joins with the code.
- Start the movie or the episode on Prime Video: the others are taken to it.
What Futari follows on Prime Video
When you press play on an episode, Futari opens the same episode for the others and keeps the position in sync.
One limit for now: when Prime Video starts the next episode by itself at the end of the previous one, Futari does not see it. Each of you starts the next episode and you are back in sync.
What each of you needs
Access to the title on your own Prime Video account, and a computer with Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera or Firefox.
Questions
Does Prime Video still have a Watch Party?
No. Amazon phased out its Watch Party feature in 2024, and Twitch ended its own Prime Video watch parties the same year.
Do we both need Prime?
Yes, or access to the title some other way, such as a rental. Futari never shares the video.
