A Teleparty alternative that is free and works in Firefox
Futari works like Teleparty: a browser extension, and each person plays the video on their own account. On top of that, it runs in Firefox, follows the episode on its own and keeps Crunchyroll and ADN free.
The same idea
Both are extensions that sync playback between the browsers of the members, without sharing the video. Each person needs their own access to the streaming service, and pause, play and seeking reach everyone.
What Futari brings
- Price: with Futari, sync, chat and every supported site are free, with no time limit. Gold, optional, adds extras for EUR 2.99 a month or EUR 24 a year. Teleparty lists its Premium plan at USD 6.59 a month or USD 47.88 a year.
- Browsers: Futari runs in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera and Firefox. Teleparty lists Chrome, Edge, Safari and Opera, and says it is not available on Firefox.
- Anime: Futari recognizes Crunchyroll and ADN for free. Teleparty puts Crunchyroll in its Premium services and does not list ADN.
- Account: watching with Futari needs none, a name is enough. Teleparty Premium asks you to sign in with a Google account.
- In the video: Futari shows the chat, six reactions and who did what on the video, even in full screen.
Episode after episode
Futari knows the episode you are watching on Netflix, Disney+, Crunchyroll, ADN and YouTube, and takes everyone to the next one together. Its interface speaks seven languages.
